OpenSRA2 project Technical Advisory Committee visits CSI lab

The OpenSRA2 project, funded by the California Energy Commission, is led by Professor Kenichi Soga and Professor Dimitrios Zekkos. The project aims to enhance the seismic risk assessment of natural gas storage and pipeline infrastructure by employing a novel blend of remote and embedded sensing technology alongside advanced data management and analysis techniques for continuous monitoring of gas infrastructure.
The project Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is composed of qualified professionals including utility representatives, experts from governmental agencies, public interest implementers including members of applicable trades, and researchers. A recent TAC meeting held in June 2025 included project team members, CEC representatives, and technical experts from utility organizations, regulators, and consultants. The meeting included a tour of the CSI lab, where the OpenSRA2 large-scale testing task will be performed.
