Financial Support

The Geosystems Master’s Program is designed for the brightest, most motivated future engineers who want to shape the future of the built environment.

  • Cutting‑edge, interdisciplinary curriculum – blends field investigations, advanced laboratory work, and high‑performance numerical modeling.
  • Mentorship from leading researchers – interaction with faculty who drive the frontiers of soil‑structure interaction, sustainable foundations, and geomechanics.
  • Hands‑on experience – students get experience with training in the field, the laboratory, and in numerical modeling.

Through Fellowships, the Geosystems Consortium, and the Geosystems Alumni Association, the program provides opportunities for financial support:

  • Partial or full funding for both US-based and international students.
  • Graduate‑Student‑Instructor (GSI) positions that provide valuable teaching experience.

James K. Mitchell Fellowship

The fellowship was created by Professor Mitchell's former students and and colleagues to recognize his contributions and to support the education of the next generation of leaders in geotechnical engineering

We thank the following platinum and gold sponsors for supporting our students:
